If you haven’t been paying attention, this old country of ours has been at war now for almost exactly five years. What we’ve accomplished, I’m still not sure, but I do know that the death-count of US soldiers to this point is at nearly 30,000 and the death-count of Iraqi civilians in that same time is at near 85,000.
One US soldier, Tomas Young, wants put an end to all of this.
His new documentary, Body of War, is as close to a real-life Born on the Fourth of July as it can get. I can’t wait to see the entire thing. For now, I’ll be waiting for Tuesday March 18th to pick up the soundtrack, “Body of War: Songs that Inspired an Iraq War Veteran.”
