Granted, its 35 degrees outside, and when I went upstate this weekend there were four inches of snow on the ground. But, spring is here. As I’m writing this, the Braves and Nationals are opening up the 2008 MLB season (you know besides those two games in Japan that the Red Sox and A’s played in). Tomorrow, the rest of the league starts regular season play.
I’m hoping the Dodgers season will be a strong one. But I’m not putting any money on it. Then again, last time Joe Torre took over a team they won the World Series. Last time Grady Little left a team, they won the World Series. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing. But still, it’s been twenty years since their last title. Shit, they’ve only won ONE playoff game since that last title.
Vin Scully deserves a ring. Tommy Lasorda deserves a ring. Donny Baseball deserves a ring.
